Delete your account
Account deletion is a real option.
You can start deletion in the app. This page explains the process, its effects, and the limited retention that may apply.
1. Delete in the app
Open Profile → Settings → Privacy → Delete account, review the effects and confirm. If you cannot sign in, email privacy@vapai.me from the associated address.
2. What happens
Confirmation starts an irreversible process: access is blocked, the profile becomes unavailable and Vapai runs authoritative deletion of operational data and Firebase Authentication. It also removes or invalidates Raftell-controlled push registration and revokes Sign in with Apple where applicable.
The current version does not offer a recoverable 30-day pause. Do not confirm until you are sure.
3. Periods and exceptions
- Raftell-controlled operational data: target deletion within 30 days.
- Raftell-controlled backups: target clean-up within 90 days.
- Closed reports and minimum safety evidence: up to 12 months, unless a documented obligation or legal hold applies.
- Firebase Authentication: Google states up to 180 days from the request for live and backup systems.
Other people's conversation data and necessary evidence may be retained in a limited form. The full profile is not retained merely as a precaution.
4. Before deletion
You can request a data download in Settings → Privacy. Export links are private and expire. Deleting the app from your device does not delete your account.
